The Brighton Beach Boxes are an iconic symbol of the popular beach that lies within Port Phillip Bay. From my reading over the years the boxes are a combination of being privately owned and owned by the government. When a private owner wishes to sell one the government buys it to retain its historic heritage from ever being tainted.
The owners of the boxes aren't even permitted to re paint their box to a different style outside what is already displayed. This is a location you have to visit if your even in Melbourne.

Melbourne is very different to shoot than Sydney. It really isn't a place peppered with beaches and ocean baths, but in saying that there is something special about the image you capture in Melbourne and if you find the right location and angle your shots really come to life.
