The Northern Beaches day course is run along Manly Beach. During the day course participants will move, explore and compose unique landscapes taking in the local scene and activity of the area. We will move to Cabbage Tree Baths and also to Shelly Beach where we will expand on the techniques taught thus far. Then onto Manly Cove where we will shoot the calm waters and boats and explore the new craze of digital panoramic's.

During the day should the swell be kind enough we will also cover the principles and skills behind shooting surf images. Come the evening we will assess the best location for our sunset set shoot where we will put all the days technical and theory into practice.

This course ideal for beginners and amateurs looking to develop a solid understanding on how to use their camera, it's functions and to consistently take quality photographs that are perfectly exposed and sharp.

A maximum of 8 participants per course.

The Northern Beaches Day course is a course that is perfect for beginners to serious amateur photographers. This course will cover the basics of camera set up and functions through to detailed image capture techniques.

At the end of the day you will have a solid understanding of your camera and it's settings, you will be shooting all your images in "Manual" and perfecting them using the histogram so you have perfect exposures every time. You will understand the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and iso and how to use these settings for best results and also the correct use of additional equipment like graduated filters, polarises etc.

You will also know the concepts and techniques behind capturing digital panoramic's.

The Northern Beaches Day Course is a great opportunity to walk around the Manly area from North and South Styene, shooting down Manly from several lookouts, explore the Shelly to Manly Walkway while stopping off at Cabbage Tree Baths. Shooting the moored boat area of Little Manly and the Manly Wharf, Cabbage Tree Baths.

Come the end of the day we will pick the best of the locations visited to shoot the setting sun, putting in practice all of the days teachings to re enforce that the workflow taught works in any situation.
