My Sydney based private course can be held and any number of fantastic locations in and around Sydney and its beaches. Like all of my private courses it is tailored to your exact needs and you set the pace.

Typically on the Sydney course we will meet at a location that works for us both where we will cover the theory side of the course, complete with visual aids on an ipad and also printed examples as well to make teaching as comprehensive as possible.

From there we take off and explore some of the local area putting your newly taught skills into practice at places working on getting your exposures perfect using the histogram, looking at things like composition, how to test your equipment and techniques out in the field so you can further your own development. Setting up and shooting digital panoramics and more.

Depending on where our course is based in Sydney we will visit several key city and coastal locations.

Then as the day comes to a close we work out the best advantage point to shoot sunset and you can put all your days teachings into full effect as you capture the dynamic evening light.

Please note on my courses I put more emphasis on spending time teaching you the skills and you putting it into practice than trying to whisk you away to as many different shooting locations as I can in a day.

To undertake this course is no different than the skill level of any of my other courses. You don't need any what so ever. The course is designed to start off at any level you want and to go from there.

These courses are quite popular for people who are interested in wanting to learn how to shoot slide film on their 35mm or 617 panoramic cameras.

My private courses just like our group courses are perfect for beginners to professional photographers. This course will cover the basics of camera set up and functions through to detailed image capture techniques.

All private courses take in a sunset shoot where participants get to put the days teachings into practice to re enforce that the workflow taught works in any situation.

During the day we cover additional subjects like shooting and re visualising digital panoramics, concepts and process of exposure blending, shutter blending and focus blending. Understanding and shooting to a histogram.

The correct use of filters like graduated ND filters, polarisers and full ND filters to control the light and create surreal image effects.
